Entry times & re-entry

Last entry: 18:00 on Friday, Saturday & Sunday shows. Last entry is 8.00pm on Thursday shows.

There is no re-entry into the event site if you leave early – once you are in, you are in for the day!

Age restrictions

18+ events: Fatboy Slim shows (16–19 July) and Moby (26 July).

16+ events: Madness, The Maccabees, and Madrophenia. Those aged 16–17 must arrive with, and remain accompanied by, a responsible adult aged 18+. VIP is strictly 18+.

Challenge 25 is in operation at the gate, and you may be asked to show ID. Accepted forms: valid driver’s licence, PASS Card, or Passport.

Ticket types

  • VIP Tickets — daily access to premium lounge, exclusive bar, viewing platform, and premium facilities
  • Per-day basis only — no weekend multi-event packages
  • Gift tickets — transferable by name with unique barcode
  • Early Entry — discounted entry with late fees if arriving after stated time
  • Payment Plans — available for select shows; full balance required before event

Ticket sales & terms

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased. Barcode scans void the ticket for re-use.

Tier-based pricing is in operation — prices escalate as allocations sell out. Official outlets: Skiddle and AXS. There is no on-site box office.

Sold out events

Sign up for the waiting list if an event is sold out. There is no day-of availability for sold-out shows.

The event site is located on the world-famous Brighton Beach, off Madeira Drive, between the Pier and the Marina.

Getting there by train

Brighton railway station has regular services. Check nationalrail.co.uk for timetables.

Cycling

Public bike storage is available on Madeira Drive. Please self-lock — bikes are left at the owner’s risk.

Buses

Nearest stops are on Marine Parade. Visit buses.co.uk for routes and times.

Parking & taxis

Parking: No dedicated event parking. No pick-up/drop-off on Pier/Aquarium Junction or Madeira Drive. Visit brighton-hove.gov.uk for city car park information.

Taxis: White & Aqua scheme. Use city centre ranks — no Madeira Drive pickup.

Coaches/Shuttles: None official. Public parking on Madeira Drive is available toward the Marina.

Bag restrictions

Bags larger than a piece of A4 paper are not permitted within the event site. No storage facilities are available.

Drug policy

On The Beach has a strict policy that does not tolerate drug use. Anyone found with illegal substances will be handed to the Police.

New psychoactive substances and nitrous oxide are also prohibited.

VIP area

Premium facilities including chill-out lounge, exclusive bar, first floor viewing platform with sea views and posh loos. Dedicated VIP entrance with signage.

Afterparties

Official afterparty events at Concorde2. Lineups and tickets will be announced closer to the date.

Drinking water

Stay hydrated and use the water refill points across the site. Empty non-glass reusable bottles are permitted through the entry gates.

Special effects & noise

Strobe lighting, lasers, smoke machines and other special effects are used during performances. Free ear plugs are available from the info point.

Medical & welfare

Professional security and a dedicated medical/welfare centre at the main entry gate. All event teams will offer immediate assistance without judgement.

Zero-tolerance harassment/violence policy. Staff provide discreet assistance when requested.

Security

  • Have ticket and ID ready; use amnesty bins for prohibited items
  • Minimise valuables; keep A4-sized bag with essentials
  • Download Find My iPhone/Android app
  • Report suspicious behaviour to stewarding/security
  • Organisers reserve right to refuse admission/evict per Terms & Conditions

The sea

Never enter the water or get close to the sea if you have been consuming alcohol or substances.

Follow RNLI Lifeguards and Brighton Beach Patrol advice at all times.

Lost property

Items logged at Info Point. Email lostproperty@onthebeachbrighton.com post-event. Reduce valuables — no locker facilities.

Site terrain

The event is held on the pebbles of Brighton Beach. Although some temporary walkways will be in place, much of the event site is exposed to the pebbles.

Wheelchair access

  • Enter via VIP gate (Madeira Drive) with ramped access and temporary flooring
  • Wheelchair Viewing Platform in VIP with limited capacity (plus-one only) — apply to accessibility@louderuk.com
  • Fast-track entry at Main Entrance available upon advance contact

Environment

On The Beach appoints and works with professional waste management contractors to clean the event site and dispose of all waste correctly. Additional bins along Madeira Drive and beach.

Beach status

Brighton Beach remains open except within the event fence-line (between Zipwire Landing Stage and SeaLanes complex). Sterile zone with temporary fencing prevents public access — divert via Madeira Drive.

Noise management

Noise management plan agreed with Brighton & Hove City Council. A roaming team monitors levels during the event.

Traffic management

Temporary parking suspensions and controls on Madeira Drive during the event. Road closure estimated 21:30–23:30 at Pier/Aquarium Junction through Dukes Mound junction. The cycle lane remains open.
