Stage times go on this website closer to the event, and full set times are available on the day. Artists and times can change at any time.

Challenge 25 applies at the gates and at the bars. Security may ask for photo ID, and anyone who cannot show it is refused entry. The bars can refuse to serve anyone without photo ID.

We accept:

• a valid driving licence
• a valid Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) card
• a valid passport

Both VIP tickets include fast-track entry through the VIP entrance, the arena, VIP bars and VIP toilets. Follow the signs to the VIP entrance.

• Lounge: the ground-floor VIP area, with views of the stage and a chill-out lounge
• Deck: the upper floor, with views of the stage and the sea over the audience, plus the Lounge. The Deck is reached by an internal staircase and is not wheelchair accessible.

No. Tickets are sold per day. There are no weekend or multi-event tickets.

Yes. Tickets carry the buyer’s name, but you can give your ticket to a friend or family member. Each ticket has a unique barcode that is void once scanned.

Selected shows have cheaper timed entry tickets. You must arrive before the last early entry time on your ticket. After that, you pay a late entry fee at the gate: the difference between your ticket and the final release ticket, plus fees. The gate does not take cash.

Selected shows offer a payment plan, with details on each event page on Skiddle. The balance must be paid in full before the event, under the plan’s terms, or the ticket is void.

Official tickets are sold through this website. The main agents are AXS and Skiddle. Tickets are also sold through Dice, Resident Advisor, See Tickets and Ticketmaster.

Do not buy from resale or secondary sites, including Viagogo and StubHub. Those tickets can be overpriced, fake or already used, or never arrive. Louder Entertainment Ltd is not responsible for tickets sold by unofficial or unauthorised sellers.

Each price tier has a set number of tickets. When a tier sells out, the next tier opens at a higher price. Tiers differ only in price.

Tickets are e-tickets. Print yours or show it on your phone at the gate. Download it to your phone before you arrive, as signal on site can be poor. If your ticket has not arrived, contact the agent you bought from.

There is no box office on site. Tickets left when the gates open are sold online only, at a higher tier.

When a show sells out, you can join the Skiddle waiting list for returns. No tickets are sold on the day for a sold-out show. If you do not have a ticket, please do not come to the site.

Tickets are non-refundable. For refunds and ticket terms, contact the agent you bought from. Buying a ticket and entering the site means you accept the conditions of entry.

On The Beach does not tolerate drugs. Anyone found with illegal substances is handed to the police. New psychoactive substances, including nitrous oxide, are also banned.

Sun cream is allowed at the discretion of security. Aerosols and glass bottles are not allowed.

Brighton station has services to London, east to Lewes and Hastings, and west to Worthing and Southampton. The site is a walk or a short taxi ride from the station. Live times are on National Rail.

The nearest bus stops are on Marine Parade. Live times are on buses.co.uk.

There are public bike racks along Madeira Drive. Bring your own lock. Bikes are left at your own risk, and there is no bike storage inside the site.

Brighton’s licensed taxis are white and aqua. Private hire and app-based operators also work in the city. Taxis cannot stop at the Palace Pier and Aquarium junction, so use the city centre taxi ranks.

There is no event parking or pick-up and drop-off. There is parking across the seafront and city centre. Details are on the Brighton & Hove City Council parking page.

Pick-up and drop-off on Madeira Drive is only allowed in a parking bay. Madeira Drive closes each event day from 30 minutes before the event finishes until about 60 minutes after.

There is no official coach or shuttle bus and no event coach parking. The nearest public coach parking is on Madeira Drive, towards the Marina.

The food stands include vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and ice cream. The bars serve beer, cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks.

No. The event is cashless. Food, drink and merchandise take cards and phone payments. There are no cash machines on site.

No. If you leave, you will not be able to re-enter the event.

Yes. There are free water refill points across the site. Bring a reusable non-glass water bottle to refill and stay hydrated.

There is no phone charging on site. Bring a charged battery pack.

Some artists use strobe lighting, lasers and smoke machines.

Lost property is handed in and logged at the info point. After the event, email lostproperty@onthebeachbrighton.com.

If you feel unsafe, ask security, staff or bar staff for Angela. They will take you away from the situation discreetly. Harassment or violence towards customers or staff is not accepted.

By the main entry gate. It has a safe space, refrigerated medicine storage and wheelchair charging.

• have your ticket and ID ready in the queue
• put any prohibited item in the amnesty bins before the search
• bring as few valuables as possible, in a small bag you keep on you
• turn on Find My on your phone, or the Android equivalent
• report any crime or suspicious behaviour to a steward or security

The organisers can refuse entry to, or remove, anyone at any time under the conditions of entry.

Do not go into or near the sea after drinking alcohol or taking any substance. Alcohol can seriously impair judgement, reactions and the ability to swim. Follow the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeguards and Brighton Beach Patrol.

If you see someone in difficulty in the water, call 999 and tell the nearest member of staff.

The beach closes at the end of the event. Stewards direct the crowd to the city centre and transport.

Madeira Drive closes on event days, from the Aquarium and Palace Pier junction to the Dukes Mound junction. The closure runs from 30 minutes before the event finishes until about 60 minutes after, and can start earlier or end later if the event needs it. The cycle lane stays open.

A traffic management contractor works on Madeira Drive during the event. There may be temporary parking suspensions, traffic controls and speed limits.

The beach stays open, apart from the area inside the event fence, which runs from the zip wire landing stage to the SeaLanes complex. On event days, a fenced area also runs from the south of the site down to the shoreline. Beach users go round it along Madeira Drive.

A noise management plan agreed with Brighton & Hove City Council sets the times and sound levels for the event and its soundchecks. A noise team patrols the area during the event and works with the sound engineers. Contact us if you have a complaint or enquiry.

Waste contractors clean the site and dispose of all waste. The event pays for extra bins along Madeira Drive and on the beach approaching the gates. It cuts single-use plastics, separates waste for recycling, and litter-picks the beach and Madeira Drive outside the site.
